ESP Fonthill 0414
A weekend workshop in and near Philadelphia with John Barclay. Two very different primary locations. First, the Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia. Originally opened in 1830 (think Shawshank), it was a model for 100's of prisons across the country and boasted such such famous guests as Al Capone and Willie Sutton. Closed in 1970, it quickly fell into ruin and is now open to the public. I hear the do a great Halloween! The other location is Fonthill, a turn of the century mansion in Doylestown. Built in the Arts and Crafts style, it is meticulously preserved with all the period furnishings and artwork and is made entirely out of cast concrete!
