Palouse 0811
On tour with pro photographers John Barclay and Dan Snifflin. The Palouse is an area of rolling hills in S.E. Washington state, in fact the second most productive grain region in the world behind the Ukraine (stash that away for use in Trivial Pursuit). The rolling hills resemble a vast sea of wheat "dunes" covered with the proverbial amber waves of grain. While naturally a "landscape" destination, the area is chock full of other photo opportunities, including a variety of barns in various states of repair (or collapse), grain silos, rail cars, old farm equipment and vintage vehicles. So even though there's much more than landscapes here, I've included them all in this gallery rather than break up the set. Lots of abstracts, too!
